Tregondale caters for up to just six guests, in three en-suite rooms with a welcoming and friendly atmosphere assured to your stay. Rooms are comfortably and tastefully made out, each with TV, en-suite facilities and countryside views.
Guests can expect plentiful, tastefully presented food featuring local and home grown produce, as well as meats raised from the farm. Having started your day with a hearty full English breakfast, you can punctuate exploring in your classic car with taking a gentle stroll around the farm. There is a nature trail, wooded areas and a tennis court if you are so inclined, as well as viewing places to see the Tregondale farm stock, which are extremely popular during lambing and calving time.
Away from the farm, Menheniot Village, a few minutes drive or a healthy walk, has a fine church and Inns, essential shop and footpaths off the beaten track. Back at Tregondale, and you can relax in the comfortable lounge with inglenook fireplace, and the comfort of log fires when the evenings draw in. Your optional evening meal again offers a chance to sample the delights of Stephanie's kitchen with more local produce on offer, including Cornish Clotted Cream and sumptuous sweets if your diet allows! Choose from the menu in the morning, and Stephanie will then prepare it for the evening.
Mervyn and Stephanie Rowe have been farming at Tregondale for over 30 years and run the farm with their son, Richard, who with his family, lives in a cottage on the farm. Richard started work on the farm in 1989 when he left school. Their daughter Amanda and her husband David live nearby, making this very much a family run concern.
Mervyn and Richard run the farm, whilst Stephanie manages the farm holidays, giving visitors from all over the country and further a field an excellent chance to see nature first hand on a real working Cornish farm. "We're very aware of how lucky we are to live in such a lovely place, and we all get a lot of pleasure out of helping other people to enjoy it", says Stephanie. "It must work, because a large number of them keep coming back year after year!" A stay at Tregondale Farm gives you the opportunity to get closer to nature on a real working Cornish farm.
